Mississippi Casinos Report $206.7 Million Revenue in February

In February, Mississippi's casinos and gaming establishments raked in a total revenue of $206.7 million, as reported by the Gaming Commission (MGC). The revenue surge was primarily driven by robust performance across poker, slot machines, and table games. This marked a notable increase of 14.6% compared to January's earnings of $108.3 million. Moreover, February's revenue slightly surpassed the figures from the same period in 2023, which stood at $206.3 million.

The revenue distribution among Mississippi's casino regions showed the Coastal area leading the pack with $131.5 million, followed by the Northern region with $47.3 million, and the Central region with $27.9 million.

However, despite the overall revenue growth, the state witnessed a decline in sports betting revenue, which amounted to just $2.3 million in February, marking a significant 65.6% decrease from January. Additionally, the total amount of bets placed dropped by 29% from the previous month, totaling $31.3 million.
