Pavilion Payments and ICRG Collaborate on Innovative Responsible Gaming Research

The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) and Pavilion Payments have teamed together to support research targeted at encouraging safer gaming behaviors. The program will create resources to promote players' responsible gambling behaviors, under the direction of Dr. Michael J.A. Wohl from Carleton University.

The known responsible gaming tools are not always well-accepted by players, even though they have many obvious advantages. Preemptive limit setting may be a more successful strategy for minimizing problem gambling than suggestion-based therapies, according to this research, which builds on earlier findings.

Critical research to evaluate and improve play management systems is made possible by this grant, according to ICRG President Arthur Paikowsky. Players' attitudes, traits, and the effect of incentives will all be examined in this study.
