The gaming industry in the US state of Pennsylvania achieved revenues exceeding $500 million in April, according to data released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). However, this fell short of the record set the previous month.
In April 2024, the total gaming revenue reached approximately $504.6 million, reflecting a 5.9% increase compared to April 2023. Despite this growth, it was lower than the $554.6 million earned in March 2024.
Land-based slot machines remained the largest source of gaming revenue, generating $205.4 million in April. This figure, however, represented a decrease of 3.5% from April 2023. The number of operating slot machines in casinos was 24,890 in April 2024, down from 25,555 in the same month the previous year.
The Pennsylvania gaming industry continues to show resilience and growth, contributing significantly to the state's economy despite fluctuations in revenue from month to month.
