Pennsylvania's Online Gambling Revenue Surges by One-Third

In July, Pennsylvania experienced a 7.2% increase in total gambling revenue, surpassing $500 million, with online gambling leading the way in year-over-year growth. Online gaming revenue in the state soared to $174.3 million, marking a 31.2% rise from $132.9 million in the previous year.

In addition, revenue from sports betting rose by 20.2% year-over-year, totalling $38.6 million, contributing to an overall revenue growth of 22.5% for the sports betting sector, which reached $414.7 million.

Conversely, revenue from land-based gambling exhibited much slower growth. Table gaming revenue declined by 4.8% to $79.4 million, while retail slot machine revenue also saw a 4.8% drop, totalling $204.3 million. Despite this decrease, retail slot machines still represent the largest share of land-based gambling revenue in the state.
