Sky Betting & Gaming has donated over £250,000 (approximately $305,000) to the Yorkshire Children's Cardiac Surgery Fund in the UK. To raise this amount, the bookmaker conducted a charity auction and offered several prizes.
Additionally, Sky Bet's parent company has contributed another £120,000 (over $145,000) towards the purchase of new software for ultrasound devices in the congenital heart disease department. This software will enable doctors to provide a detailed analysis of a patient's heart condition.
Andy McNally, Marketing Head of the Children's Cardiac Surgery Fund, stated that this contribution will support families with children who have congenital heart defects. The fund operates as a non-profit organization and does not receive government subsidies.
