ACMA has blocked Wild Blaster and BetUS

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has blocked access to the Wild Blaster and BetUS websites. As a result of the inspection, it was found that these sites were operating illegally and violated local legislation. However, the specific violations were not specified.

Nevertheless, the ASMA appealed to Internet providers in Australia to block the web resources. This measure is applied in cases when operators provide prohibited gambling services in Australia. It can also be applied to sites offering online gambling without the necessary Australian license.  ACMA also has the power to impose sanctions if a website advertises prohibited gambling services or gambling without a license.

Since ACMA's first blocking request in November 2019, more than 863 illegal gambling sites and affiliates have been blocked.  A further 218 illegal services have left Australia since the new rules began in 2017.

ACMA emphasized that Australians using illegal gambling services do not enjoy protection under Australian law, which means they are vulnerable to problems such as operator non-payment of winnings.
