The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has ordered the blocking of eight more websites that it claims are illegally offering gambling services in the country. The sites—Jogi Casino, Dundee Slots, Lucky Hunter, Lucky Wins, Lukki Casino, Spin Fever, Clubhouse Casino, and Winport Casino—are all said to be in violation of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
Since the ACMA's first blocking request in November 2019, around 975 gaming and affiliate sites have been blocked. Additionally, over 220 illegal services have exited the Australian market as the ACMA continues to enforce regulations against offshore gambling operations.
The regulator has the authority to block any site offering games that are not compliant with Australian law, ensuring that unauthorized gambling services cannot operate within the country.
