The New Jersey Supreme Court has rejected Evolution's attempt to uncover the anonymous authors of a 2021 report. Evolution sought to unveil the individuals behind the document, which it described as "inaccurate, false, defamatory, and methodologically flawed." The report, commissioned by an undisclosed client and published by the law firm Calcagni & Kanefsky (C&K), alleges that Evolution received income from sanctioned countries.
However, both the state Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, responsible for investigating the allegations, found no evidence to support the claims. They determined that Evolution did not engage in trading with or benefit from connections with prohibited jurisdictions.
Despite efforts to ascertain the identity of the client behind the report, it remains undisclosed. Many within the industry speculate that one of Evolution's competitors may have commissioned the dossier.
