The ex-owners of BetCity have filed a 104 million Euro ($111,310,000) counterclaim against Entain, alleging that Entain was aware of BetCity's issues prior to the deal closing.
This comes in response to Entain accusing BetCity's former owners of concealing two investigations by the Dutch gambling authority.
Additionally, the ex-owners are seeking 21 million euros ($22,478,820) for the adjustment in employment taxes following Entain's acquisition, as well as disputing Entain's calculations regarding annual bonuses.
Entain did not directly refuse the payments, but in response indicated that it would do so only if it could not achieve a favourable court decision.
The previous owners of BetCity are challenging Entain's accusation that BetCity did not effectively address communications regarding the annual bonus. Additionally, they are contesting the accuracy of Entain's calculations for bonus value, asserting that it was both mathematically incorrect and not properly justified.
