In Las Vegas, a woman stole $60,000 while on a date at a casino

A young woman embezzled $57,000 in cash and chips from the hotel room of a man she went on a date with.

A young woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing nearly $60,000 from the safe of an elderly man's hotel room at Caesars Palace Hotel. She was apprehended outside her home on Western Sahara Avenue this Tuesday.

Police searched her home and seized about $5,200 in Caesars casino chips and found $11,700 in cash. She faces charges of burglary and grand larceny over $25,000 but less than $100,000.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on November 22, 2023. The punishment she may receive for these offenses has not yet been determined. However, grand larceny of more than $25,000 but less than $100,000 is considered a serious Class B felony, which carries a prison sentence of 1 to 10 years and a fine of up to $10,000.
