The Dutch gambling authority, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), has fined Casbit Group NV for engaging in illegal gambling activities on the website lala.bet. The regulator has instructed the operator to cease offering arcade games in online casinos without a proper license.
In the event that Casbit fails to comply with KSA's directive, it will be subject to a fine of €280,000 per week, with a maximum penalty capped at €840,000. KSA reiterated that the stringent regulations aim to establish a secure and legally compliant framework in which players can confidently participate, ensuring fair play and safeguarding against gambling addiction.
Despite prior warnings from KSA, Casbit's website remained accessible to players in the Netherlands. Consequently, the regulator proceeded with the imposition of the fine after re-inspecting the website and confirming continued access from the Netherlands.
