New York City Mayor Eric Adams and his administration have suggested new zoning rules for casinos, aiming to increase gaming venues. Currently, operators are vying for three available licenses to open gambling houses, and Adams’ initiative will provide additional opportunities for business expansion.
Specifically, the mayor intends to permit the construction of casinos in industrial and commercial areas. New establishments are also planned in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. This initiative has previously received support from the federal government.
