The Czech Gambling Regulatory Authority has announced the enforcement of a ban on slot machines in Prague. The decision, initially agreed upon four years ago, was enacted by the city council in September 2020, prohibiting technical gambling across all establishments, irrespective of their gambling licenses.
Director Martin Chabot mentioned that enforcement of the ban by Prague authorities began in 2021, allowing establishments with longer licenses to continue using slot machines until 2024.
It is crucial to note that the prohibition specifically targets land-based slot machines, with online casino services remaining accessible to Czech gamers, provided the operator holds a valid license.
