Casino operator MGM Resorts has contributed $360,000 to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) to support projects in 2024. The funds will be allocated for two extensive studies aimed at aiding scientists in understanding how to prevent and mitigate potential risks associated with gambling participation.
Stephen Martino, Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at MGM Resorts, emphasized that these projects are "critical to the continued success of the industry and are in the best interests of our customers."
Established in 1996, the International Center for Responsible Gaming supports research beyond the gaming industry as well. The projects financed by MGM Resorts will be shared with other operators to allow them to benefit from the outcomes.
