Citizen, a major provider of online gambling services, has renamed itself Yaspa.The company was inspired by a study of words related to payments and finance and decided to create a new brand to reflect its role in the online payments industry. Their new website can be found at yaspa.com. Casino operators will now offer this brand.
Yaspa's Marketing Director, Kate Marsden, stated: "I'm delighted to introduce Yaspa: same team, same payouts, but with a new name. Our new name reflects the speed and security of payments and ensures a friendly cozy atmosphere for business customers."
Yaspa co-founder and CEO, James Neville, added: "When we launched the business as Citizen in 2017, our main focus was on developing trusted identity cards for individual citizens. Open banking has been instrumental in building trust, and we've made great strides in online payments. Now it's time to create a new name that reflects today's virtual payment trends.
"A recent YouGov survey by the company found that people under 50 remember the Yaspa brand better than Citizen.
