Sky News reports that Playtech and Flutter Entertainment, both FTSE index companies, are considering a full acquisition of PlanetWin365.
Italy is considered an important market for both companies, and they have strengthened their position in the country through mergers and acquisitions of other companies.
In 2018, Playtech acquired Italian online gambling group Snaitech for €900 million to improve its consumer technology strategy.
Meanwhile, in 2022, Flutter completed the purchase of Sisal, operator of Italian lottery SuperEnalotto and soccer pools TotoCalcio, for €1.9 billion.
According to Sky News, the auction is expected to be valued at around £500-600 million.
Playtech confirms that they are involved in a possible acquisition of SKS365 Malta Holdings Limited. They acknowledge that there are other companies that have expressed interest in the deal and cannot guarantee success in the process or the agreement of any deal to acquire SKS.
