Star Entertainment, Australia's largest casino operator, has announced the resignation of David Foster from his position as chairman. He will be succeeded by Ann Ward, with Benjamin Heap stepping into the role following Foster's interim tenure. Foster, who assumed the chairman role in December 2022, will continue to serve on an interim basis until the appointment of his successor.
Foster, who joined The Star's board of directors in August 2022, will facilitate a smooth transition until his replacement is finalized. Ward's appointment is effective immediately, having joined the company concurrently with Foster.
These leadership changes come amidst a period of upheaval, with The Star CEO Robbie Cookey and CFO Christina Katsibuba resigning in March. Additionally, The Star Gold Coast CEO Jessica Mellor has also tendered her resignation, highlighting a significant period of transition within the organization.
