David Orrick to step down as director of industry relations at Merkur

During an appearance at G2E 2023, David Orrick, Director of Industry Relations at Merkur Gaming, announced that he will step down from the position effective December 31, 2023. He has held the position since January 2016. The main reason for his departure was a desire to spend more time with his family and finish a novel he has been working on and plans to publish in 2024.

Orrick also noted the changes in media and communications in the gaming industry and expressed his gratitude to his departed friend and mentor, Jens Halle.  He also expressed his gratitude to his colleagues at Merkur, with whom he has worked successfully over the past eight years.Orrick will likely retain an advisory role at Merkur.  

The company's CEO, Athanasios Isaakidis, expressed his recognition of Orrick's experience at the company. He emphasized that David Orrick has always made significant contributions to decision-making processes and that his opinion has always been important.
