GambleAware CEO Defends Charity Against GLP Accusations

GambleAware's chief executive, Zoe Osmond, has once again defended the charity's operations following a complaint from the Good Law Project (GLP). In March, GLP lodged a complaint with the Charity Commission regarding GambleAware's handling of information.

The complaint alleged that GambleAware's poor performance was due to its ties to the industry and its "dependence on funding from the gaming sector." At the time, Osmond stated that GambleAware operates independently of the sector and its financial contributions. She now asserts that GLP's complaint is unfounded.

"The complaint made to the Charity Commission by the Good Law Project is based on misleading and outdated information. While we are confident this complaint will not be upheld, we are deeply concerned that inaccurate headlines and misleading newspaper articles could have a detrimental impact on our services and the people who rely on them," Osmond said.
