Andy Boucher, a former employee of the international audit and consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), has been appointed as a new trustee for the charity GambleAware. With over 34 years of experience in the financial industry, Boucher, a certified public accountant, will contribute to GambleAware's efforts in education, treatment, and social support within the UK gambling market. Kate Lampard, the chairman of GambleAware, expressed delight in welcoming Boucher, noting that his skills and experience will contribute to shaping the company's direction in the coming years.
In December, GambleAware released a study highlighting a connection between problem gambling and discrimination. The findings revealed that individuals from national minorities in European countries, exhibiting signs of gambling addiction, were more likely to face judgment for their hobbies compared to Europeans.
