Charity organization GamCare, dedicated to assisting those affected by gambling-related issues, has appointed Mark Weiss as deputy chief executive. In this new role, Weiss will continue his existing responsibilities as the director of communications and external affairs for the organization.
Bringing expertise in public health, Weiss joined GamCare in 2022, having previously served as the Head of Policy and Public Affairs at the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Notably, he played a key role during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021.
GamCare highlighted Weiss's diverse experience in promoting organizations and initiatives, with a background that includes working at the Faculty of Public Health and serving as an advisor to the All Party Parliamentary Group.
