Christian Nielen, the CEO and co-founder of Kambi, a sports betting provider for licensed operators, is stepping down from his position. Nielen has announced that he will vacate the role once the company identifies a suitable successor.
The Kambi Nominating Committee has reported that Nielen has proposed the appointment of gambling investor and advisor Benji Czerniak to the board of directors. Another likely successor is Anders Ström, the provider's second co-founder.
Nielen, who has been with the organization since its founding in 2010, cited the desire to spend more time with his family as the reason for his departure. He emphasized that his "professional loyalty" will persist with Kambi.
Founded by Nielen and Ström, Kambi has offices in Malta, London, Philadelphia, Stockholm, and Sydney. The company's primary focus is on collecting and efficiently utilizing data about online casino clients. Kambi collaborates with various bookmakers, including 888sport, 32Red, Rank Group, and many other companies in the industry.
