Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Crown Casino banned convicted terrorist Abdul Nasser Benbrika from entering their premises

Crown Resorts Limited, the owner of Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth, and Crown Sydney, has pledged to employ facial recognition technology to ensure Benbrika is barred from all its complexes. Similarly, the MCG, the world's largest cricket stadium by capacity, has implemented a ban on his entry.

Despite being released by the Supreme Court of the Australian state of Victoria on December 19 after nearly two decades in prison, Benbrika faces restrictions on visiting certain places for the next year. However, he is allowed to enter gambling establishments and engage in gambling activities, with monitoring through an electronic bracelet. Previously, Benbrika faced charges related to conspiring to carry out terrorist attacks on Australian enterprises.
