SkyCity Entertainment Group, a prominent gaming operator in New Zealand and Australia, has announced the appointment of Jason Walbridge, a former executive at Aristocrat, as its new CEO. Julian Cook, Chairman of SkyCity, highlighted Walbridge's extensive experience in both land-based and online casino industries, emphasizing his potential to play a crucial role in the company's management.
Walbridge is slated to assume his role in early July 2024, which will involve overseeing operations in New Zealand upon his return. Prior to this appointment, Walbridge held senior positions at Aristocrat Leisure for approximately 18 years, spanning both New Zealand and the United States.
In the interim period, Callum Mallett will continue to serve as the interim CEO until Walbridge officially assumes his duties. Walbridge's appointment is subject to regulatory approval, pending which he is poised to lead SkyCity Entertainment Group into its next phase of growth and development.
