Stella David to Succeed Barry Gibson as Entain Chairman

Entain, the global sports betting and gaming operator, has announced that Stella David, currently serving as interim CEO, will take over as chairman following the retirement of Barry Gibson. Gibson, who joined Entain's board in November 2019 and assumed the role of chairman in February 2020, stated that this year marks the appropriate time for his departure.

Stella David brings extensive experience to her new role, having served as a non-executive director and senior independent director at Entain since March 2021. Prior to her tenure at Entain, David held leadership positions at Bacardi for over 15 years, culminating in her role as CEO of William Grant & Sons.

Described as an energetic business leader with a deep understanding of shareholder perspectives and corporate governance standards, Stella David's appointment is expected to bolster Entain's strategic direction and oversight capabilities. Her diverse industry experience is seen as a valuable asset in guiding Entain's future growth and success.
