Andrew Rhodes, head of the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), has emphasized the importance of fostering improved relationships between operators and regulators. Rhodes believes that establishing constructive partnerships between the gaming sector and lawmakers will yield mutual advantages, asserting that effective collaboration is pivotal for a competitive, regulated, and secure market.
Rhodes underscored the significance of the sector's capacity to enact changes and engage in productive dialogue. He stated, “We are presently piloting how our operational teams—particularly compliance and licensing—can collaborate with account management operators. It is crucial to actively seek better communication channels with you (operators) and solicit your feedback regarding the core aspects of your business.”
Additionally, Rhodes addressed the forthcoming UK gambling study, urging companies to exercise prudence, particularly when altering survey methodologies.
