70% of teenagers in Bosnia and Herzegovina have bet at least once

A study by the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation at the University of Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina found that 70% of minors in the country have bet on sports at least once. 8% of students at the educational institution that conducted the survey developed a "pathological addiction to gambling."

Most young people go to bookmakers during school holidays to place bets or use bookmaker services online. According to Belmina Siocic, one of the high school students in Zivinica, betting among teenagers also harms parents because children take money uncontrollably.

To reduce the number of young people involved in gambling, a social campaign, "Who Wins?" is being carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It should raise awareness among the country's residents about the dangers of excessive gambling and betting.
