Betting on League of Legends Increases by 37% Compared to Football

In the third quarter of 2023, the bookmaker SOFTSWISS observed a significant increase in the average bet on the MOBA strategy game, League of Legends.

Cyber tournaments are attracting more fans, especially during breaks in traditional sports competitions. The third quarter of 2023 saw more cyber competitions than the second quarter, with League of Legends confidently outperforming football, boasting an average bet 37% higher.

Among multiplayer games, Counter-Strike continues to hold the largest share of online bets. Dota 2 has become the most profitable category among all betting categories.

According to statistics, traditional sports beloved by spectators remained unchanged: people continue to actively place bets on football, tennis, basketball, table tennis, and baseball.
