Entain Considers Selling Crystalbet Following Strategic Review

Entain, the British media corporation, is considering selling its Georgian business, Crystalbet, after a strategic review conducted by consulting firm Moelis. Crystalbet has been deemed "non-core" and not integral to Entain's key value proposition.

Entain has reportedly received several offers for Crystalbet, though the identities of the potential buyers have not been disclosed. Crystalbet operates both online and offline, providing online casino services in addition to sports betting.

The strategic review highlighted several reasons for the potential sale, including exploring "strategic alternatives" for Crystalbet. Entain's predecessor, GVC, partially acquired Crystalbet in 2018.

In addition to Crystalbet, Entain is also considering selling other assets, including BetCity in the Netherlands, Ladbrokes in Australia, and the poker platform PartyPoker.
