Novibet Joins IBIA Ahead of Brazil License Application
Novibet, a prominent online sports betting operator, has recently become a member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). This strategic move is in preparation for Novibet’s upcoming application for a license in Brazil.
In accordance with Brazilian law, all companies seeking to enter the country’s betting and gaming market are required to join an international integrity body. This requirement has prompted several bookmakers aiming to establish themselves in the Brazilian and Latin American markets to join the IBIA or similar organizations.
The IBIA is a non-profit association that serves as a global network for betting operators, focusing on promoting integrity within the industry. Member companies collaborate closely to combat issues such as money laundering by identifying suspicious betting patterns and matches, and taking necessary actions to maintain the integrity of sports and betting.
Novibet’s decision to join the IBIA underscores its commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency as it expands into new markets. This step is expected to enhance its credibility and compliance efforts, crucial for gaining regulatory approval in Brazil and beyond.
