Record-Breaking Betting Activity Precedes Super Bowl

Ahead of the Super Bowl, the National Football League (NFL) final in the United States, an unprecedented 14,500 bets per second were recorded, marking the highest number of transactions in history, according to cybersecurity company GeoComply. This level of bettor activity nearly doubled the peak seen in the Super Bowl last year.

GeoComply specialists highlighted a 15% increase in the number of accounts on bookmaker platforms since the previous NFL finals, with 8.5 million profiles registered across 28 legal U.S. betting markets. In the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, over 1.7 million new users were verified for legal betting.

The American Gaming Association (AGA) estimated that Americans would wager around $23.1 billion on the Super Bowl, though final calculations are yet to be released. In the NFL Finals, the Kansas City Chiefs secured victory over the San Francisco 49ers with a score of 25-22 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11.
