Curaçao Gaming Control Board Issues Guidelines on Licensing Periods

The Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) has released a comprehensive set of guidelines for operators regarding licensing periods. The nine-page document outlines the application process for obtaining a license, including requirements for additional documents.

According to the guidelines, an application will be considered complete if it includes an online gaming form, a personal disclosure form, and a corporate and business information form.

Operators are reminded that the deadline to apply for a license is March 31st. After April, registration of permits through the organization’s portal will no longer be available. Therefore, all operators intending to continue their operations in the Curaçao market must complete their registration within the next two weeks.

These developments come ahead of impending changes in Curaçao's gambling legislation, notably the introduction of the National Gambling Ordinance (LOK). Once enacted, the regulatory authority in the jurisdiction will transition to the Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA).
