Gaming Machines Seized at Kansas Gas Station

Police, in collaboration with Kansas’ gambling regulator, confiscated 13 illegal gaming machines at a gas station in the state. Law enforcement officers, along with representatives from the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, executed a search warrant at a gas station in Park City and discovered the unlawful gaming devices.

Despite the regulator’s efforts, illegal establishments remain a problem in the state. According to Officer Christopher Gupilan, over 1,500 gaming machines installed illegally have been seized over the past decade. He noted that unregulated gambling is increasingly provoking criminal activities.

Currently, licensed casino operators are required to set minimum payout ratios. For commercial gaming machines, this is 87%, and for tribal casinos – those managed by Native American tribal councils – it’s 80%.
