Hackers Arrested in India for Online Casino Fraud Linked to Dafabet

In Hyderabad, India, a group of cybercriminals involved in defrauding international online casino platforms has been apprehended. The operation was linked to bookmaker operator Dafabet.

The investigation began after a local resident reported fraudulent activities, with money being withdrawn from their bank account following a conversation with a supposed Dafabet representative. Harish Goyal, the individual using fraudulent and hacking schemes to manipulate the bookmaker, was arrested. A significant amount of money, along with 50 debit cards and 36 statement books, was found at his residence.

Dafabet, a prominent online casino and sports betting platform in the region, is suspected by Indian police of engaging in fraud for several years, deceiving customers not only in India but also in other countries where non-state gambling is illegal, such as the Philippines, Hong Kong, and China.
