International Game Technology (IGT) Extends Partnership with UK National Lottery

Renowned technology provider International Game Technology (IGT) has officially announced the extension of its contract to supply electronic systems for the UK National Lottery. This development precedes the upcoming transition of the lottery license from Camelot to Allwyn, scheduled to take place in early February.

It's noteworthy that IGT had previously initiated legal action against the UK Gambling Commission, contesting Allwyn's appointment as the license holder over Camelot, the entity that has managed the National Lottery since 1994. The company sought compensation for damages resulting from what it described as an "unexpected turn of events." However, IGT later dropped the lawsuit.

IGT has a global presence in the lottery sector, collaborating with eight out of the ten largest international organizations involved in this form of gambling. This extension of its partnership with the UK National Lottery underscores IGT's continued commitment to supporting and providing electronic systems for lottery operations worldwide.
