Accusations include colluding with illicit gambling operators and enabling users to place online bets using the platform's virtual currency, Robux. While a California court partially dismissed the lawsuit, Roblox is still required to address allegations of conspiracy.

Judge Vince Chhabria highlighted the company's role in facilitating the proliferation of underage gambling by allowing transactions involving Robux, particularly within virtual casinos. Roblox has refuted these claims, and the legal proceedings are set to continue.

Users can purchase Robux, the platform's internal currency, and utilize it within virtual casinos hosted on Roblox. By linking a wallet containing real-world currency to a gambling site accessible through Roblox, players, including minors, are able to deposit funds and participate in gambling activities. This practice has raised concerns about underage gambling and prompted legal action against Roblox.
