Wyoming Legislators Introduce Bill to Legalize Online Casinos

A bill aiming to legalize online casinos has been introduced to the House of Representatives in the state of Wyoming. The legislation, known as Bill No. 120, was put forward by Republicans John Conrad and Robert Davis.

If passed, the bill will empower the State Gaming Commission to issue up to five licenses to operators interested in establishing online casino platforms. The proposed law requires potential operators to make an initial payment of $100,000, with license renewals available every five years for an additional $50,000. Operators obtaining a gaming permit in Wyoming will have the flexibility to form partnerships with entities in other jurisdictions.

The proposed tax rate on the organizations' income is set at 10%, along with an additional $300,000 to fund anti-gambling programs. Wyoming had previously legalized online sports betting in 2021.
