Faggioli's doctor believes there are more people involved in the betting scandal

Italian soccer player Nicolo Faggioli has been disqualified for betting on sports and violating sports justice rules. He claims Sandro Tonali introduced him to gambling. Paolo Jarre, the doctor responsible for treating Faggioli for gambling, said that Faggioli is probably not the only one involved in the scheme and that more players could be held responsible. Jarr believes it is statistically unlikely that Faggioli is the only player who gambled. The situation is evolving and other players may be suspended. Tonali and Nicolo Zagnolo are also coming under scrutiny for similar offenses.

Faggioli will be suspended for 12 months but will return to the field after 7 months. In the rest of the time, he will make up for his offense in other ways.

Jarre reminded Faggioli of Paolo Rossi, who continued to play soccer even after the betting violation. He also noted that the player is recovering and no longer has a strong desire to gamble.

Jarre emphasized that gambling problems are a serious condition that requires treatment.
