Star Entertainment Group Chief Risk Officer Scott Saunders is leaving

A management overhaul is currently taking place at Star Entertainment Group Limited, an Australian gaming operator. Chief Risk Officer Scott Saunders, who has held his position for a year and a half, is set to leave the company.

Neil O’Connell, the Chief Executive Officer of The Star, expressed gratitude for Saunders’ commitment during a challenging transformation phase and wished him well in his future pursuits. Saunders will remain in his role until January 31, 2025, after which he will step down from all directorships, including those at subsidiaries.

For the next six months, Saunders will concentrate on The Star and assist in the transition to his successor. The company has announced plans to start searching for a new head of risk management soon. This reshuffle follows recent leadership changes, including the appointment of a new CEO and group managing director last month, while group chairman David Foster announced his departure after the exit of CEO Robbie Cook and CFO Christina Katsibuba earlier this year.
