Superbet founder returns to company as CEO

Saša Dragić, the founder of Superbet, has made his return to the company as co-CEO, following a significant management overhaul. Dragić, who established the company in 2008 and departed in 2019, will now work alongside the current CEO, Jimmy Meimann, who recently took on the role in January 2024 after replacing Johnny Hartnett, who had been in the position for nearly five years before transitioning to a non-executive director role.

Commenting on his return, Dragić said, “At Superbet, we have always been ambitious in envisioning our future, and I’m thrilled to see the rapid progress the team has made in scaling the business to meet these goals.” Meimann echoed this sentiment, stating that “Sasha’s return will be transformative and will accelerate our progress into the next phase of the company’s development.”

Recently, Superbet announced several key team changes, including the promotion of former VP of Engineering Samin Jalal to Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Superbet in May 2022, Jalal was the Director of Engineering at the autonomous vehicle company Wayve. Additionally, Andrei Dusu, previously VP of Product and Data, has been appointed Chief Product Officer, while COO Albert Simsenson has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer, and Adam Lamentovic, General Manager for Romania, will now serve as Chief Commercial Officer for Central and Eastern Europe. Eamonn O'Loughlin is set to take on the role of General Manager International.
