Svenska Spel Names Gustav Georgson as New Head of Public Relations

Svenska Spel has appointed Gustav Georgson as its latest head of public relations, with his tenure set to commence on April 29.

Georgson brings a wealth of experience in navigating political landscapes, having most recently served as a political expert in the coordination office of the Liberal Party within the government. His background includes roles as head of communications and deputy party secretary for the National Liberals, along with advising the party leader during the 2022 parliamentary elections.

In his new role at Svenska Spel, Georgson aims to play a pivotal part in fostering and fortifying stakeholder relationships amidst ongoing discussions surrounding the gambling market. Frank Hodgem, Svenska Spel's head of sustainability, emphasized the importance of clear and assertive engagement in debates, particularly on critical industry matters. The focal point of these discussions revolves around the necessity for an overhaul of gambling regulations in response to changes introduced five years ago.
